Dining Chair Upholstery Project

My husband and I are gearing up to move into our first place. We're extremely excited to get into our new home. With that, comes lots of fun projects. Just several weeks ago, I bought a table and chairs set from a sweet couple on Craigslist. The set was in beautiful condition and has some really interesting woodwork detailing. The only thing that I needed to fix were the chair cushions. They weren't doing the chair any justice. They seemed confused. Take a look..

My dad and I recovered the chairs today with a beautiful fabric I picked up from Cutting Corners off Midway and Spring Valley. For $19/yard and 2 yards, this was my end result. Wow..what a difference a little fabric makes. They now look completed. Really takes on a French vibe that I'm really digging. What are your thoughts??

I'm pretty excited about these chairs. It took all of 2 hours to complete with the help of my dad. It definitely is a two person job. It helps.

Here is a sneak peak up an upcoming project with a couple living room chairs my parents graciously gave to Chris and I. They've been in the family since 1983. These are timeless chairs, just need a little TLC. These will have to be professionally upholstered. Hopefully won't break the bank.

  1. Gorgeous re-do. Love, love the back detail with the script fonts on the seat. Those living room chairs are in nice shape. Hope the upholstering goes well, with no hidden surprises. I can imagine them looking pretty fab with an updated fabric.

    1. Thanks Milla. It was fun to do and so easy. The living room chairs are my mom's and once I told her the cost to reupholster them professionally, she opted to keep them. Go figure:) Thanks for stopping by!
